CCTV News(News broadcasting): In 2013, President Xi Jinping, during his visits to Kazakhstan and Indonesia, proposed cooperative initiatives for the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "Marine Silk Road of the 21st Century".

Over the past six years, the "one belt and one road" initiative has achieved fruitful results in the construction of the five links of policy communication, facilities interconnection, trade liberalization, financing and common people's hearts. It is making steady progress towards the goals of peace, prosperity, openness, green, innovation and civilization. From "five links" to "six roads", from "great freehand brushwork" to "meticulous painting", the "one belt and one road" initiative has gradually gone deep.

In Kazakhstan, where President Xi Jinping first proposed to build the Silk Road Economic Belt, the waterless port of the Oriental Gate Special Economic Zone under construction is very busy. 90% of the containers here come from China. It is expected that by the end of this year, the railway data and information between China and Kazakhstan will be shared.

With the holding of the first "one belt and one way" International Cooperation summit held in 2017, the "one belt and one road" initiative has been intensified and continuously improved.

Policy communication continues to deepen. More and more countries and regions have compared their development with China's "one belt and one road" initiative.

Financing is expanding. In 2018, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank expanded three times, including nine new members, with a total membership of 93, covering all continents of the world.

_Facilities are continuously strengthened. The opening and operation of the Yagi Railway, the completion of the Sino-Malaysian Friendship Bridge in Maldives, and the number of Banquets between China and Europe exceeded 14000, which opened the artery for the two-way opening of the market between China and Europe.

_Trade is improving smoothly. Against the backdrop of Global trade downturn, from 2013 to 2017, the total volume of trade between China and the "one belt and one way" trade increased by 4.88%. As of April 2018, China signed a tax agreement with 54 countries and regions along the "one belt" road.

In March this year, Italy was the first G7 country to sign a memorandum of understanding with China on the "one belt and one way" initiative. Then another European Union, Luxemburg and Jamaica of North America, also announced that they had joined the "one belt and one road". So far, more than 150 countries and international organizations have signed the "one belt and one way" cooperation document with China.

The people's hearts and minds are constantly promoted. In recent years, China has provided 10000 government scholarships annually to the "one belt and one way" country, and 29 countries have signed the visa free visa and signed the "1023" friendly cities with 61 countries, accounting for 40.18% of the total number of China's foreign friendly cities.

In the keynote speech of the first International Cooperation Summit Forum on "one belt and one road", President Xi Jinping stressed that the construction of "one belt and one road" is inseparable from the environment of peace and tranquility, and that "one belt and one road" should be built into the road of peace. Development is the key to solve all problems, and the road of "one belt and one road" should be built into prosperity. Innovation is an important force to promote development. We must build the "one belt and one road" road to innovation, promote mutual understanding, mutual respect and mutual trust among all countries, and build the "one belt and one road" into the road of civilization.

In his keynote speech at the Beijing summit of China Africa Cooperation Forum held in September 2018, Xi Jinping pointed out that the "one belt and one road" should be built into a green road.

From "five links" to "six roads", the "one belt and one way" initiative has not only opened up new directions for international cooperation, but also excavated new impetus for world economic growth. The latest research by international organizations such as the world bank shows that the international cooperation under the "one belt and one way" initiative can boost the global economic growth by at least 0.1 percentage points in 2019.

From the infrastructure to the economic and trade exchanges, from financial exchanges to cultural exchanges, the "one belt and one way" initiative and its core concepts have been incorporated into the important international mechanism achievement documents of the United Nations, the group of twenty, APEC and SCO, and become an important way to promote regional peace and development and an important platform for achieving the goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development in 2030.
